Holy Family Episcopal Church COASTSIDE BACKPACK PROGRAM
It is hard to think about the coming school year when we are just starting to enjoy our summers! To make sure that all the children in our community are ready for school and have what they need to learn, Holy Family Episcopal Church is partnering with Community United Methodist Church, Coastside Lutheran Church, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Coastside Jewish Community, Coastside Catholic Worker, Coastside HOPE, the Migrant Family Education Program at CUSD and other community groups to working together to collect school supplies and fill backpacks for local children who can not afford them.
Last year we provided over 300 children with backpacks. This year we have requests from over 500 children (an increase of 200 over last year) and we need your help. Please join us and pass this information on to other friends or coworkers whom you think would be interested in supporting our coastside children.
